  • Feast of Qawl (Speech) - Thursday, Nov 22, 2018 after sunset. This will be celebrated in individual Feast neighborhoods. Please contact the Secretary of the Local Spiritual Assembly for details about Feast in your area at (713) 529-1919 or *Note: Since this Feast observance falls on Thanksgiving, it will likely be moved to Fri or Sat at the discretion of the local neighborhood Feast secretary.   • Day of the Covenant - Sunday, Nov 25, 2018 after sunset. The festival commemorates Bahá’u’lláh’s appointment of His eldest son, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, as the Center of His Covenant.   • Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá - Wednesday, Nov 28, 2018. Bahá’ís observe the anniversary of the death of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, son of Bahá’u’lláh and His appointed successor, on Nov 28, 1921 in Haifa, in what is now northern Israel. Observances will be held in various neighborhoods throughout the city from 12-1AM Wenesday morning.   • Community Thanksgiving and International Food Festival​​ - Sunday, Nov 25, 2018 at 1PM. Venue: White Oaks on the Bayou, 7920 FM 1489, Simonton, TX 77476. Hosted by the Baha'is of Fort Bend County. Fundraising event to benefit the National Baha'i Fund. The theme is an International Food Fair. Guests are encouraged to bring an international dish to share and cultural clothing encouraged. There will be games for the kids and adults, music, and cultural dances!
